2. Waiver & Risk Acknowledgement
Participation in conscious connected breathwork may involve deep or accelerated breathing, and can sometimes result in intense physical, emotional, or psychological experiences.
Medical Conditions and Responsibility:
- You must inform us in advance if you have or have experienced any of the following: schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychosis, unmanaged PTSD, or any psychological/psychiatric condition; any form of cardiovascular disease or arrhythmia; COPD or other lung conditions; prior strokes, TIAs, or neurological conditions; high or unstable blood pressure; asthma; epilepsy; detached retina or glaucoma; osteoporosis; recent surgery or injury; pregnancy; acute infectious illnesses; or any other condition that may be aggravated by breathwork practices.
- Participation may require modifications or may not be suitable for certain individuals.
- You acknowledge that you are fully responsible for your own physical, emotional, and mental health, and for informing us of any relevant changes to your health or circumstances before each session.
Release of Liability:
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release the facilitator(s), assistants, and organiser(s) from any liability for injury, loss, or damage resulting from your participation, and waive any claims arising from participation, including (but not limited to) claims of negligence.
- This release extends to your heirs, assignees, dependents, personal representatives, and estate.
Session Practices:
- You understand and agree you can decline any activity, touch, or physical contact at any time.
- If you feel uncomfortable or become aware of any hazard, stop and immediately inform the facilitator or assistant.
- The facilitator reserves the right to discontinue your participation at any time without explanation.
Confidentiality:
You agree to respect the privacy of all participants. No recording, photographing, or sharing of personal discussions or experiences is permitted without the explicit consent of all involved.
