Preparing for an Activation.
None of this is complicated, and none of it is a test. A little preparation lets the session go deeper — and gives what follows the space to settle.
Arrive light.
Eat lightly on the day, and keep clear of alcohol and drugs for the day or two before. Less caffeine and tobacco helps too.
Some people like to eat no meat before a session, or to fast. That can deepen things — but the body needs fuel, and it knows what it’s asking for. Listen, and give it that.
A short form, first.
Before your first session there’s a short registration form — a few details and a health declaration, so Jon can prepare properly and hold the session safely. It takes a minute or two.
Complete your registration →Almost nothing.
Loose, warm clothing is the only real requirement. Venues have mats, cushions and blankets — you’re welcome to bring your own — and a bottle of water is a good idea.
Let it settle.
The session ends, but the experience keeps moving for a while. Give yourself as much unhurried time as the day allows — go with what life brings, and keep away from anything intense if you can. Integrating usually takes the rest of the day, and can continue for two or three days after a powerful Activation.
While it does: no alcohol or drugs if possible. Walking, time in nature, painting, drawing and writing can help your experience unfold, and a bath is a nice way to conclude things. It’s a time to quietly celebrate yourself, and what you have achieved.
As deep as the room.
Online sessions can be as deep as any in-person session, and good preparation is a big part of making that possible. Find a place where you won’t be interrupted. Music carries much of the journey, so good headphones or a proper speaker matter.
Make somewhere to lie down with room to stretch and move — a mat or blanket on the floor rather than a bed, if you can. Within easy reach: an extra blanket, tissues, and a small cushion for your head or neck.
Set your device where Jon can see you as fully as possible. Every session is confidential, and nothing is ever recorded.
