Jon Fordhouse

Jon has been on a deep spiritual path for more than thirty years, working with multiple practices including breathwork, shamanism, meditation, psychotherapy, leadership, Kundalini and non-duality. He now offers Activation sessions to individuals and groups, combining breathwork, energy work and music to create a potent environment for profound healing and growth.

Jon was grew up in South Wales as part of a Quaker family, so was exposed to broader ideas of the spiritual from an early age. Initially exploring shamanism and psychedelics, Jon travelled widely before returning to Britain to study sculpture. It was soon after this that he experienced his first Holotropic Breathwork at the age of just 21, also undergoing a spontaneous Kundalini Awakening during this first session. His spiritual journey accelerated from that point and he continued to practice Holotropic Breathwork regularly, also working with Amerta Movement Meditation, working with the founder of the practice, Suprapto Suryodarmo and one of his students, Mala Sikka.

After suffering a significant back injury - often associated with Kundalini Activation - Jon shifted his studies to contemporary art, also visiting India and spending the majority of his time at Sathya Sai Baba's ashram, receiving darshan twice daily. During this time Jon also studied energetic healing, and practiced Vipassana and other meditation, though he found spontaneous, freeform meditation to be personally most effective. After returning again to India and Sai Baba's ashram, Jon went on to visit Guru Subraminium's Skanda Vale ashram in West Wales multiple times, benefiting from the multiple pujas practiced there.

After concluding his studies, Jon moved to London and thrust himself into the world of contemporary and performance art, later going on to complete an MA in fine art. While his spiritual journey continued during this time, it took a more Western route, focussing on periods of psychoanalysis and psychotherapy, along with several courses focussing on self development and leadership. In the latter part of this period Jon's professional career evolved to include project management and operations management, and Jon also developed and ran several entrepreneurial projects.

While Jon's spiritual journey continued during this period, it had not been supported by any traditional spiritual practice, until after several years Jon felt drawn to return once again to breathwork, also spending time in nature and at several British sacred sites, including Stonehenge and Avebury. It was during this re-engagement with breathwork and a more immediate sense of the spiritual that Jon realised he was ready to offer what he had learned to others, and he went on to train in Conscious Connected Breathwork and Kundalini Activation, to support this. Jon's more recent personal work, alongside his continuing Kundalini process and breathwork practice, includes working with Shakti Catarina Maggi, an Advaita Vedanta or Non-Duality teacher.

Combining his understanding of energy and breath, the spiritual and the psychological, the physiological and the transcendent, Jon now offers what he terms Activations - environments for people to explore self-generated altered states of consciousness to support deep inner learning and transformation.
