What is an Activation?

An activation is a space, an atmosphere, an environment, created and supported by a facilitator.
Activations can involve breathwork or can be completely spontaneous.
Music is an important part of most activations and can be quite high energy.
People usually choose to begin an activation lying down with their eyes closed, sometimes wearing an eye mask.
Activations are initially guided but later left free for people to experience.
One of the most important aspects of an activation is that everything people experience and express is welcomed and accepted, and all sessions are strictly confidential.
An activation lasts between one and three hours, giving plenty of time for people to have the experience they need to have.
A facilitator is present throughout the session to support people's experiences.

What is Breathwork?

Breath is an active part of that system and changes in our consciousness affect the way we breathe
This system also acts in reverse - changes in our breathing affect our consciousness
And so breathwork in its broadest sense is an active engagement with our breathing to affect our consciousness
The approach to breathwork used in an activation* doesn't prescribe a specific breathing technique
Instead it focusses on finding and developing your own personal breathing pattern, and so creating your own perfectly tuned altered state of consciousness
These personally generated shifts in consciousness create a unique personal journey of discovery, healing and growth
* Our approach to breathwork is based on Conscious Connected Breathwork, also influenced by Holotropic Breathwork
It is our whole body, not just our brain, that forms our consciousness
